The topic of feeding the baby is discussed by many doctors. A few decades ago, the child was introduced by complementary foods already at three weeks of age. Now it is recommended to introduce complementary foods no earlier than 6 months. Studies have shown that early feeding is extremely undesirable for the baby. The sooner complementary foods are introduced, the greater the chance that the child will develop an allergy or other diseases due to a decrease in immunity. Children who received complementary foods much later significantly ahead of their peers, who received complementary foods after four months.
Feeding is considered to feed the baby with liquids and foods as an addition to breastfeeding and adapted milk mixture. Children should receive complementary foods in accordance with age, so that all digestive systems are prepared for digestion of the general table. Currently, doctors believe that children aged one year are able to eat food from a common table with adults. Naturally, food should be as dietary as possible. It should have a minimum of salt and sugar. Food should not contain smoked meats, pickles, spices, it will be better if the food is steamed.
Moms can independently determine when the child is ready to introduce complementary foods:
The pushing reflex is missing, t.e. the child does not push any object from the mouth with his tongue.
If the child is premature, then complementary foods can be given when the baby’s weight has grown more than doubled.
A conscious rejection of a spoon with food, if he does not like the food or he is not hungry.
The baby stopped at the breast milk and is increasingly applied to the chest.

If the child refuses complementary foods, you should not stuff food by force or persuasion. The baby is offered vegetable puree, fruits, cottage cheese and kefir. Gradually, children begin to eat chicken or rabbit meat, hek fish. You should not strive for norms if the child eats 100 grams of food instead of 250 grams, you do not need to be upset. Even if the baby is in weight, but at the same time feels good. The kid should receive pleasure from eating, not violence.
